CB needs volunteer budgeter

The city of Coos Bay is seeking a volunteer to fill a vacancy on the Budget Committee. The seat opened on the seven-member committee following the appointment of Gene Melton to the City Council. The appointment would be for the remainder of Melton’s term, which runs through 2010.
Applicants for the position must live within the city limits and be available to interview with the City Council. Applications will be accepted at the City Manager’s Office in City Hall by Friday, Feb. 25. For more information, those interested can call City Manager Chuck Freeman at 269-8912.
