Italian pianist in concert tonight

The Oregon Coast Music Association will host an Evening of Music to honor the late Dr. Charles Holloway at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Hales Center for the Performing Arts, on the Southwestern Oregon Community College campus, 1988 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay.
Italian pianist Roberto Plano will perform. Plano has won multiple awards in piano competitions, including first prize at the 2001 Cleveland International Piano Competition. A meet and greet with the artist will follow the show.
Holloway was a lover of music and supported the Oregon Coast Music Association and its endeavors. The goal is to remember Holloway and gather for an evening of beautiful music, family and friends, the press release said.
Tickets cost $20 for adults, $15 for OCMA members and $5 for students. Deluxe tickets include a post-concert reception at the Oregon Coast Culinary Institute. Those tickets cost $35 for general admission, $30 for OCMA members and $20 for students. Tickets are on sale at Books by the Bay, Off the Record, the Art Connection, The Coos Art Museum, Bandon Mercantile and at the door.
