The following are meetings and activities scheduled Thursday in Coos County.

The Bay Area Sunrise Rotary Club will meet at 7 a.m. at the Red Lion Hotel, 1313 N. Bayshore Drive, in Coos Bay. The club welcomes business owners, professionals and others in management positions, either working or retired. For information, those interested can call 756-5401.

A women’s sexual assault support group will meet at 1 p.m. at Coddington Place, 1681 Newmark Ave., Coos Bay. The group is intended to support women who have been sexually abused or assaulted at any time in their lives. For more information, those interested can call Stephanie at 888-1048.

Pinochle players will gather at 1:30 p.m. at the Coos Bay Senior Citizen’s Center, on the corner of Fourth Street and Ingersoll Avenue.

A class on body awareness will be offered from 2 to 3 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 438 Elrod Ave., in Coos Bay. Easy stretching, yoga postures, qi gung and tai chi will be incorporated into a smooth, gentle program focusing on balance, breathing and posture. Pacific Cove Humane Society
will hold an annual meeting for supporters, donors, volunteers and interested community members from 6 to 8 p.m. at the North Bend Public Library, 1800 Sherman Ave. 

Coastal Harvest invites help in providing food security for families in Bandon. Whether people volunteer, donate surplus bounty from gardens or gift the group for memorials, such efforts will be “helping grow a sharing community.” Monthly meetings are held in Bandon at 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month. Location varies. For more information, those interested can call 347-8301.

The Southwestern Oregon Rose Society meets at 6:30 p.m. in the North Bend Housing Facility building, 1700 Monroe in North Bend. Refreshments will be served.

Toastmaster’s Club No. 249 will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Red Lion Hotel, 1313 N. Bayshore Drive, in Coos Bay. Toastmasters is about communication and leadership skills, practicing parliamentary procedures and learning to make your voice count.

Thursday Bingo at Coos Bay Eagles No. 538 will begin at 6:45 p.m. at the lodge, 568 S. Second St., in Coos Bay.

The Coquille Valley Museum Board will meet at 7 p.m. at the museum, 153 N. Central Blvd., in Coquille.

The Coquille Valley Genealogy Club will meet at 7 p.m. at the Flora M. Laird Memorial Library, 435 Fifth St., Myrtle Point. The speaker, Linda Kirk, will speak about the Civilian Conservation Corps in Coos County

The Saints ‘n’ Aints host a beginning round dance class from 6 to 7 p.m. and an advanced class from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and line dancing from 8:30 to 9 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 123 Ocean Blvd., Coos Bay. Round dance instruction will be by Donna Hiserote and line dancing by Cathy Houston.

Coastal Corvettes Unlimited will meet  at 7 p.m. at the Bandon VFW Hall, 55382 Bates Road. For information, those interested can call 347-3489.

The Coos Sand ’n’ Sea Quilt Guild will meet at 7 p.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1290 Thompson Road, in Coos Bay. Social hour begins at 6 p.m., and those attending are asked to bring quilting projects to work on. Those interested don’t have to be an accomplished quilter to be a member.
