Desks, along with hundreds of boxes of supplies filled the inside the Thomas and Sons Distributors warehouse in Coos Bay on Friday. The supplies will be loaded in a relief container, which is being assembled by the Rotary Club of Coos Bay and North Bend. The effort will benefit impoverished students and medical patients in Honduras. Ten local rotary clubs collected medical supplies from health care organizations around Oregon and California. Rotary members also gathered tools such as radios and floodlights for Honduras fire departments and basic school supplies that will benefit six primary schools and a high school. This is the third container assembled by the Coos Bay and North Bend Rotary and took a total of three months to complete.
