The Lab Band Program Association will be holding a fundraiser on Feb. 2-3, at the Sprague Community Theater, 1202 11th St. SW in Bandon.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, with the performance beginning at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, with the performance beginning at 2 p.m.
There will be an oral auction between sets, with items ranging from gift baskets to certificates.
The Beginning/Junior, Senior and Evolution bands will perform both days, a press release said. Many local businesses and individuals have donated items and services to help the Lab Band raise funds for the expansion of their building, a tour bus, and other needed items.
Seating is restricted to 250 people. Tickets are available in Bandon at Gibson Graphics and Bandon Video. In North Bend, tickets will be available at Young’s Southbound Sound and Music and in Coos Bay at Outdoor-In. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for children and seniors.
The Lab Band musicians have been named Youth Ambassadors by the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, and they continue to promote youth involvement in jazz, big band and swing music. In addition, Lab Band provides a safe, fun and nurturing environment for 170 young people from North Bend, Coos Bay, Coquille, Bandon, Reedsport and Myrtle Point.
