“Gigi” (1958) will be the featured classic on the big screen at 3 p.m. at the Egyptian Theatre in downtown Coos Bay. “Gigi” is the story friendship and love between a wealthy French playboy and Gigi, a courtesan.

Free movie night starts at 6:30 p.m. at the North Bend United Methodist Church, 2289 Meade St. The movie will be “Amazing Grace” (2007), about William Wilberforce and his fight to end the British slave trade in the 19th century.

A book group will hold a casual meeting to discuss “Three Cups of Tea: One Man’s Mission to Promote Peace ... One School at a Time,” by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin from 4:10 to 5:30 p.m. at the Reedsport Coffee House, 2285 Longwood Drive. Participants should read the book prior to the discussion.
