Burglary arrest

A Reedsport man was arrested Monday in Reedsport on burglary-related charges. According to a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office spokesman, on Jan. 2, a 29-foot boat was burglarized in the 600 block of Beach Boulevard in Winchester Bay. Items taken included life jackets, fishing rods and a CD player.
Following an investigation, deputies arrested Jeffrey W. Daily, 35, on charges of first-degree burglary, first-degree theft, first-degree theft by receiving and second-degree criminal mischief. He was taken to Reedsport jail, where he was booked and lodged. He was later transported to Douglas County jail in Roseburg, where he is being held on a $356,250 bail.
