Upcoming Road Races on the South Coast
For more information on upcoming road races and for photos from past events, those interested can log on to the South Coast Running Club’s Web page at www.southcoastrunningclub.com.
Prediction Run — Saturday, Feb. 2, starting at 10 a.m. on the Coos Bay boardwalk. Events include a 5-mile run and 3-mile walk and participants in each race will predict their time. Those closest to their predictions (no watches allowed on the course) will receive gift certificates. For more information, those interested can contact Pete Dawson at 267-6329.
Run of Two Cities — Saturday, March 8, starting at 9 a.m. at Eighth Terrace above the Mingus Park softball field in Coos Bay. Events include a 5-kilometer run/walk and 10-kilometer run, both on hilly courses. The longer race takes runners through downtown North Bend.
