A Roseburg man was arrested Friday on several drug-related charges.

According to a Coos Bay Police log, at about 1:05 p.m., a Coquille Police officer performed a traffic stop near the intersection of West Central Avenue and state Highway 42.

After stopping the vehicle, the officer arrested Donald Wright, 52, on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, providing false information to police, unlawful distribution of methamphetamine and a probation violation. He was taken to Coos County jail, where he is being held without bail.

A Coos Bay man was arrested Sunday on harassment charges.

According to a Coos Bay Police Department press log, at about 1:08 a.m., officers were called to Mingus Park after a caller reported being awakened by a woman’s blood-curdling scream from the location.

After an investigation, officers arrested Sami Abboud, 32, on the charge of domestic harassment.

Abboud was taken to Coos County jail, where he was released on his own recognizance.

A Coos Bay man was arrested Sunday on weapons charges.

According to a Coos Bay Police log, at about 1:47 a.m., dispatchers received a 911 call informing them of a person with a knife at Mak’s Old City Hall Lounge, 375 Central Ave.  

After arriving, police arrested Justin Langan, 25, on two counts of menacing and carrying a concealed weapon.

Langan was taken to Coos County jail, where he was released on his own recognizance.

A Coos Bay man was arrested Sunday on theft and fraud-related charges.

According to a Coos Bay Police log, at approximately 3:08 p.m., officers located a wanted person at 420 N. Wasson St.

Officers arrested Clinton V. Cordova, 46, on the charges of second-degree theft and fraudulent use of a credit card. He was taken to Coos County jail, where he was released onsite.

A Bandon man was arrested early this morning following a car accident.

According to a North Bend Police Department log and spokeswoman, at about 2:22 a.m., a North Bend officer came across a car partially down an embankment near the intersection of Liberty and Delaware streets.

The officer arrested the driver, Ian M. Mitchell, 27, and cited with driving under the influence of intoxicants, third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespassing.

He was taken to Coos County jail, where he was released on citation.
