Monday, January 21, 2008 |
Applications are available for garden plots and membership for Lady Bug Landing Community Garden in downtown Coos Bay.
Interested gardeners can pick up applications at the garden, which is at the corner of Eighth Street and Anderson Avenue; Farr’s Hardware; Coos Grange Supply; and McKay's Freshmart in Coos Bay.
Applications will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Once all the plots are assigned, names will be placed on a waiting list. There are 48 beds that are 4 feet by 12 feet, and 12 beds that are 4 feet by 10 feet.
Lady Bug Landing will be open for planting after Feb. 1. Gardeners must receive a plot number and attend an orientation before starting gardening.
