The following are activities planned today and Sunday.

Sunday

The Small Business Expo featuring small businesses, entrepreneurs and self-employed people will be held 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the North Bend Community Center, 2222 Broadway Ave.

Oregon Right to Life will “Take a Stand for Life” from 2 to 3 p.m. The event will be held in commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision, which took place on Jan. 22, 1973, and made abortion legal. Participants will hold signs and march.



Veterans For Peace will show “War Made Easy: How Presidents & Pundits Keep Spinning Us to Death” on Sunday, Jan. 20. The show will start at 3 p.m. at the Bandon Public Library, 1204 11th Street S.W. Admission is free.

Monday

The North Bend Church of Christ will host a Domestic Violence Conference at noon at the church, 2761 Broadway St.  The speaker will be Portlander Ron Clark, who has training and has written a book on the topic, according to a press release. Babysitting will be provided. There is no charge.

Bridge players gather at 12:30 p.m. at the North Bend Senior Center, 1470 Airport Lane.

Pinochle players gather at 1 p.m. at the Coos Bay Senior Citizen’s Center, on the corner of Fourth Street and Ingersoll Avenue.

Chronic Pain support group for women and men will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Bay Area Church of the Nazarene, 1850 Clark St., in North Bend.

Bridge lessons will be offered from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. each Monday at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 400 Highland Ave., in Coos Bay.

The American Legion Bay Area Post 34 and Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Legion Hall, located at 1421 Airport Way, North Bend. Hamburgers and hot dogs are available to purchase from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
