Former Bulldog Hibner honored for academics

Compiled by Luke Clark, Staff Intern North Bend graduate Megan Hibner finished her season on Oregon State University’s cross country team with an all-conference honor for her work in the classroom. The Beavers led the Pac-10 conference for the third straight year with 12 student-athletes making the all-academic teams. Hibner, a redshirt freshman, was named to the first team along with two of her teammates, Hayley Oveson and Krista Stangel. The honor was the first for Hibner, who is majoring in Early Childhood Development/ Elementary Education.
