Two South Coast volleyball players received all-state recognition for their achievements on the court this fall. Marshfield’s Ali Worthen was named to the second team after leading the Pirates to a 9-1 conference record as well as a share of the league title. Worthen also was named the Midwestern League’s co-Player of the Year.

Brookings-Harbor’s Stephanie Kerr and Douglas’ Katie King were the only two Far West League competitors to receive all-state recognition. Kerr was named to the first team and King recieved honorable mention honors. Josi Lyman and Teresa Dowdy of La Grande were named the state’s player and coach of the year, respectively.
