Museum sells calendar with historic photos

The Bandon Historical Society is raising funds through the sale of its limited-edition 2008 Historical Photo Calendar. The 13 featured photos represent Bandon's past, from community parades, to local industry in action, to the aftermath of the Bandon Fire of 1936. The calendar costs $12 at the museum gift shop, which is located at U.S. Highway 101 and Fillmore Avenue Southeast. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Admission is $2 for adults. Children and society members are admitted free.

Crafters holding sale in downtown Coos Bay

The Coos Bay Indoor Crafter's Fair and Farmer’s Market, 158 Central Ave., across from the Hub Building, will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays during December. For more information or for a vendor space, those interested can call Linda at 888-3182.

Gardiner church to hold Christmas Eve service

The church bells will be ringing on Christmas Eve at St. Mary's Episcopal Church on Second and High Street in Gardiner starting at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 24. The story of the baby Jesus' birth will be told and Christmas carols will be sung. There will be a special closing hymn of "Silent Night, Holy Night" sung by candlelight. Everyone is welcome.
