FERC to visit Tuesday
Saturday, December 8, 2007 8:48 AM PST

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has announced that staff of the Office of Energy Projects will pay a visit to the Jordan Cove liquefied natural gas terminal site on Tuesday.

The purpose of the site visit is to provide engineering staff and its consultants a general background of the proposed site layout and equipment placement for their technical design review. Issues related to environmental impacts and LNG vessel transit are outside the scope of the site visit, the notice said.

In addition to OEP staff, representatives from Jordan Cove Energy Project will be in attendance. All interested parties are invited to attend as well. Those interested can meet at 9 a.m. in the parking lot of the Red Lion Hotel, 1313 N. Bayshore Drive in Coos Bay. Those planning to attend must provide their own transportation. For more information, those interested can contact Steven Busch at (202) 502-6353.
