The Bandon Historical Society is raising funds through the sale of its limited edition 2008 Historical Photo Calendar.

The 13 featured photos in the calendar represent Bandon’s past, from community parades, to local industry in action, to the aftermath of the Bandon Fire of 1936 and more. The museum is selling the calendar for $12 at the museum gift shop, which is located at U.S. Highway 101 and Fillmore Avenue Southeast.

Each calendar page includes a description of the photo with historic notations. Volunteers who worked on the calendar project this year included Kendall Ridgway, Trish Conyers, Dan Katz, Alyce Cawdrey, Priscilla Katz, Andy Christensen, Charlie Kane and Judy Knox.

Photos in the calendar can be ordered from the museum in archival-quality prints. Revenue from calendar and photo print sales helps support museum operations.

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Admission is $2 for adults. Children and society members are admitted free.

More information about the museum is available on the Web site at http://www.bandonhistoricalmuseum.org/.

Those interested also can visit the museum or telephone Knox at 347-2164.
