ALBANY (AP) — The Santiam Council of the Girl Scouts in the Willamette Valley say some cans of cashews sold in Oregon are being recalled.

Eight states are affected by the recall, which started with a small number of reports of pieces of metal in the nuts.

The group said the recall affects 10-ounce cans of Girl Scout Cashews packed in pop top cans with the code dates 7268A9 or 7268B9.

In Oregon, the cashews were sold by Girl Scouts of Santiam Council in Linn, Benton, Lincoln, Marion, Polk and Yamhill counties. Consumers can call (800) 274-3666 to get the cashews replaced.
