The intersection of South First Street and Johnson Avenue was blocked for about 30 minutes, Tuesday night, after two vehicles collided there.
According to a Coos Bay Police Department press release, at approximately 7:03 p.m., officers and Coos Bay firefighters responded to a report of the traffic crash, involving a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe, driven by Deborah Wilson, 55, of Coos Bay; and a 2005 Kia, driven by Coquille resident Kathleen Zapelli, 56.
Due to the damage from the crash, Zapelli was unable to exit her vehicle. She received assistance from firefighters, who removed the door of the Kia to free her.
Neither woman was injured in the crash, police said.
No citations were issued.
