Auction to raise money for Egyptian, museums

An art, antiques and collectibles benefit auction will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Egyptian Theatre in downtown Coos Bay.
The evening will include organ and swing band music, as well as popcorn and wine and cheese tasting. Items at the auction will include vintage tools and machinery, extensive art works, a full-day Gold and Silver Falls excursion for six with guides, Roseville and Weller pottery, Belleek pieces, vintage collectibles, a vintage toy train, Coos history items, German war memorabilia, a photo portrait session and more. Cash, checks, MasterCard and Visa will be accepted.
Previews will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. today, and from 1 to 6 p.m. on Thursday. Proceeds from the auction will go to the Egyptian Theatre, the Marshfield Sun Printing Museum and the Oregon Coast Historical Railway. |
