Prep Recap for Oct. 2: Marshfield girls drop 9-0 soccer match to Thurston

Marshfield’s girls soccer team dropped a 9-0 decision to host Thurston in a Midwestern League match on Monday.
Mandi Dorman had two goals for the Colts, who improved to 2-1-1 on the season. Marshfield is 0-4.
Far West League
Glide beat Douglas 2-0 to improve to 5-1-1 in Far West League play. Kayla Shiermeister and Cassie Garrison scored for the Wildcats.
Jorden Zerbach, Danni Buechley and Hannah Hawkins scored goals as Umpqua Valley Christian topped Sutherlin 3-1 to move into sole possession of fourth place at 3-3-1 at the midway point of the season.
