Eco-living will host Solar Sunday event

Eco Living will sponsor a celebration of the Earth beginning at 11 a.m. on Sept. 16, at LaVerne Park, north of Coquille.
There will be a Native American flute performance and music throughout the day provided by local musicians, such as Linda Cole & Friends, The Rip Tide Acoustic Trio, Ring, the Rhythm Jam and an open jam session. Other activities will include a spiritual celebration, including meditation, a demonstration by Rhythm Village West African dance and drumming troupe, presentations on sustainable living, recycling and more.
There also will be informational sites, a potluck picnic, games and free drawings. Participants should bring musical instruments, hats, chairs and food to share. For more information, those interested can call Mark Files at 756-6495.
