Zencore Tabs, cribs recalled
Wednesday, September 5, 2007 1:48 PM PDT

The following recalls have been announced:

• All supplies of the dietary supplement Zencore Tabs, sold by Bodee LLC, because the product contains potentially harmful, undeclared ingredients. A Bodee representative said the recall involved fewer than 5,000 units.

The Century City, Calif., company said in a statement Friday that the Food and Drug Administration found that two different lots of Zencore Tabs contained active ingredients for FDA-approved drugs for erectile dysfunction. These undeclared chemicals pose a threat to consumers because they may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels, the company said. No reports of injury have been received.

Zencore Tabs is sold in health food stores and by mail order nationwide and in Canada as a two-capsule blister pack packaged in a retail booklet with five booklets in a box. Customers should stop using it immediately and contact their doctor if they have experienced any problems that may be related to taking this product. For more information, call the company at (800) 935-0296 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. EDT Monday-Friday.

• About 400 “Moderne” and “Loft” Cribs, imported and distributed by NettoCollection LLC and made in Poland, because the crib slats can separate from the side rails, which poses as an entrapment and strangulation hazard to children. The company has received three reports of the side rail spindles separating from the top rail. No injuries have been reported. The recalled cribs have model numbers NC-137 and NC-140 and date codes 9/03 and 02/04. Juvenile furniture stores nationwide sold the product.
