Fundraiser at community garden

The volunteers who work in the Lady Bug Landing community Garden plan to share the harvest on Wednesday, Sept. 19. The nonprofit South Coast Community Garden Association is sponsoring the second-annual Harvest Fundraiser. Chef Jardin of Black Market Gourmet restaurant will prepare a special lunch using the “best of the garden.”
The meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the garden, which is at the corner of Eighth Street and Anderson Avenue. The cost is $5 for lunch and $1 for dessert. Donations also are welcomed.
