Star of Hope has appointed LouAnn Dewater as the agency's deputy director.

Dewater has been an employee at Star of Hope for seven years, beginning as a support associate before she was promoted to manager of the vocational department. When the Star of Hope purchased the Oregon Connection/House of Myrtlewood, Dewater was called upon to serve as general manager and her business acumen played an important role in making the business venture so successful as a vocational opportunity for the developmentally disabled in Coos County, a press release said.
