| Article: | Q: Who was the guy holding up a sign in front of Enterprise Rent-a-Car last week? Dan McKinley, of Coos Bay, had been in an auto wreck and was upset with Enterprise Rent-a-Car for not providing him with a handicapped vehicle while his handicapped van was being fixed. He was protesting outside of Enterprise in downtown Coos Bay on Aug. 15. Enterprise provided McKinley with a car by that night, as well as rides with Bay Cities Ambulance. Larry McCabe, owner of McCabe Insurance, an Allstate Insurance Company located at 1609 N. Bayshore Drive, in Coos Bay, said McKinley does not have an auto insurance policy with his office, but Allstate would never discriminate against handicapped people. An official at Enterprise's corporate office said McKinley had received a handicapped vehicle and the issue has been resolved. |
