Along with Jeremy Bright, who disappeared when he was 14-years-old while at the Coos County Fair in 1986, the Oregon State Police keeps track of 30 other Oregonians who have gone missing. The oldest active case is that of Brian Page, who went missing at the age of 16, on Jan. 12, 1975, in Salem after leaving a party. The car he was in, a 1962 Volkswagen Bug, has never been found.

Those with information on missing children can call (800)-282-7155. Photos of those who went missing as children are available online at http://www.oregon.gov/OSP/MCC/child_index.shtml and http://www.missingkids.com/

J ZIMMER MAN wrote on Jul 30, 2007 12:48 AM:

Back in January 1963, another young man also came up missing. his name was Ted Zimmerman. his car was found in the Coquille River, and has been thought to be a victim of foul play. And he was never found. But the police at that time took the easy way out, and said that he drowned, but his body was never found. So it was dropped. Seven years later, the paper he was working for, paid off the insurance on him to his mother. His car, after it was found, was taken to Teds Auto Wrecking, where it was disposed of. The case was closed. I feel, in my heart, that he is still out there. Today he would be about 65 years of age. Oh by the way, the person or persons in this have never been caught. There is not a day that goes by that he is not thought of, be it his birthday nor the day he came up "MISSING". thank you. Mr. John Zimmerman
