Coos County Public Health has available the shingles vaccine, Zostavax, recommended for adults age 60 and older.

Zostavax is a single-dose vaccine for the prevention of shingles, a very painful skin rash caused by the varicella-zoster virus, the same virus that causes chicken pox. The cost for the vaccine is $175.59.
