A Eugene woman was injured in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday night that occurred north of North Bend.

According to an Oregon State Police press release, at approximately 5:46 p.m., police responded to the scene of an accident about one and a half miles north of North Bend near Marine Way.

Authorities said David J. Wood, 62, of Reedsport, was operating a 1995 Dodge Caravan and was waiting for a vehicle in front of him to take a left-hand turn when he was hit from behind by a 1999 Honda Accord. Twenty-three-old Eileen M. Valle was identified as the driver of the Honda.

Wood's vehicle, in turn, was pushed into a Dodge Neon driven by Muhammad Abdul-Quadir, 22, of Coos Bay.

Valle was taken to Bay Area Hospital. A BAH nursing supervisor said this morning that Valle was treated and released.
