The five South Coast teams at the Volleyball Festival in Nevada had a rough day Tuesday, with one team holding its position and the others all dropping.

The North Bend 15s Bulldogs remained at No. 75 in the 15-and-under age group despite three losses, while all the other teams dropped.

The Bulldogs lost 25-13, 25-15 to Coast 15 Robb; fell 20-25, 25-21, 15-13 to Prodigy 15 Jessica; and lost 25-14, 25-13 to TCA 15 ASO.

The Tsunami 14-and-under team lost three of its four matches, dropping from 87th to 97th in the division.

The team fell 25-9, 23-25, 15-9 to Empire 14 Black of Sanoma, Calif.; lost 26-24, 25-13 to Seal Beach of Long Beach, Calif.; and 25-22, 25-10 to Midnight Sun of Anchorage, Alaska.

In the final match of the day, Tsunami beat Bakersfield, Calif., which was ranked No. 51, 25-17, 22-25, 15-13.

Conner Chard had six aces in one of the matches and Samantha Sundet also had a strong day serving, coaches said. Victoria Giorgis was solid as a defensive specialist.

The Pirate 16s also won just one match, but moved up from No. 134 to No. 120 in their division.

The team edged Capital City 25-17, 21-25, 17-15 before losing to Capital City 25-20, 25-22; and Impact 16, 22-25, 25-15, 15-13.

The South Coast Fire dropped 20 spots from No. 46 to No. 66 in the 17-and-under division despite winning one match and losing two close matches.

The Fire beat Northeast Oregon 17 25-20, 25-14 before falling to the La Grande Merchants Blue 25-18, 24-26, 15-8 and Empire 17 Black 25-21, 28-26.

Playing in the same division, the North Bend Bulldogs dropped to No. 80 from No. 71.

The Bulldogs fell 25-20, 25-20 to NW Power 17 Mizuno Red; lost 25-20, 25-12 to Simcoe 17 Gold; fell 25-17, 25-16 to Eipc 17 Xiawa; and lost 25-7, 25-11 to San Diego 17 Jalene.
