Russell Johnson, of Reedsport, has been awarded a Rising Scholar Scholarship from the University of North Dakota for the 2007-08 academic year. Johnson, son of Norm and Kathy Johnson, attended Reedsport High School and plans to attend UND in the fall.

The Rising Scholar Scholarship is funded by the Elizabeth J. Larimore and Sadie P. Mathews Endowment.
