South Coast readers often have different preferences in reading material than those in other parts of the state and United States. Here are the top-five sellers this week at Winter River Books in Bandon, according to owner Johnna Hickox:
“The Memory Keeper's Daughter” by Kim Edwards continues to grab the No. 1 spot with its story of a father's fateful decision and its aftermath.
“The Lavender Lady Cooks” by local author Sherri Merritt is a wonderful compilation of delicious recipes such as Fresh Lemon & Lavender Ice Cream and Seared Ahi Tuna with Lavender-Pepper Crust.
“The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne continues its success as it promises the key to self-fulfillment.
“Water for Elephants” by Sara Gruen tells the heartwarming story of an aging circus vet and his amazing memories.
“Einstein: His Life & Universe” by well-known biographer Walter Isaacson captures the complex and fascinating life of one of the world's greatest minds.
