A Portland man was uninjured after his car flipped over Sunday night on state Highway 38 near Scottsburg.

According to an Oregon State Police press release, at approximately 11:35 p.m., emergency dispatchers were contacted about an accident near milepost 13.5. Police said the driver, Everett S. Welch, 47, who was operating a 1991 Subaru Justy heading east, swerved his vehicle to get around an unspecified object in the road. The vehicle hit the embankment and overturned.

Neither Welch nor his dog, was injured. However, traffic was delayed for about two hours while rescuers and clean-up crews were on the scene.
