South Coast readers often have different preferences in reading material than those elsewhere. Here are the top-five sellers this week at Winter River Books in Bandon, according to owner Johnna Hickox:
“The Memory Keeper's Daughter” by Kim Edwards is a marvelous novel which examines the fallout from a father's fateful decision.
“Dream Golf” by Steven Goodwin relating the true story of the development of Bandon Dunes is a great read for both golfers and nongolfers.
“The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne continues as a bestseller and offers the key to self-realization and success.
“Water for Elephants” by Sara Gruen, voted by independent booksellers as 2007's top novel, follows one man's remarkable adventures in the early days of the circus.
“Dog” by Matthew Van Fleet is an interactive and instructional book that will delight young doglovers. |
