€ Orchid Society tonight

Pacific Orchid Society, 7 tonight, North Bend Housing Authority Building, 1700 Monroe Ave.

The presentation will focus on flower arrangements with Connie of Abundant Blooms. Members will show blooming plants from their collections. Beginning orchid growers can receive information and have questions answered by experienced members. The society also will plan for the May 12 show and sale. For information, those interested can call 269-5405.

€ Dahlia Society

Southern Oregon Dahlia Society; 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, Coos Bay Public Library, 525 W. Anderson Ave.

The group's goal is to help gardeners learn how to grow spectacular dahlias.

€ Bandon club

Weedum Seedum Garden Club, 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, in the East Room at the Bandon Community Center.

The garden club hosts a guest speaker each month. Refreshments will be served. Visitors and new members are always welcome. For more information, those interested can call 347-4307.

€ Master gardeners

- The information plant clinic offers answers to questions and helps solve gardening problems from 9 a.m. to noon, Mondays and Thursdays, at the Oregon State University Extension Service building, 631 Alder St., Myrtle Point. Questions also can be phoned in by calling 572-5263.

- Master Gardeners are on duty at the Lady Bug Landing community garden at the corner of Eighth and Anderson streets in downtown Coos Bay every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon to answer questions and talk about demonstration beds.
