A Coos Bay man considered a fugitive from justice turned himself in Monday at the North Bend Police Department.

According to a Coos County Sheriff's Office press release, the arrest of Forest F. Martin, 41, took place without incident.

Martin, who was wanted by investigators after failing to appear for a trial concerning a felony charge from September 2006 of violating a stalking order, is being held in the Coos County jail. A new trial date on the original charge has been set for May 1. Martin also will go before a judge on April 10 for the new charge of first-degree failure to appear.

He is being held on $100,000 bail.
