Monday's meeting, which will be held in the banquet room at the Red Lion Inn, is one of several planning sessions for the event. Anyone interested in helping with the planning is encouraged to attend. People who want to help, but can't attend the meeting, can contact Connie Bradley at 260-5507.
People interested in starting a team can contact either Kim or Sylvia at 269-5507.
Hundreds of relays are held across the United States each year, combining to form the single biggest fund-raising effort for the American Cancer Society.
This year, the North Bend/Coos Bay Relay for Life has a goal of raising $97,000.
Money raised through the relays goes to help fund cancer prevention, research and education efforts.
