Soroptimists seeking nominees for award

Soroptimists of the Coos Bay Area are seeking applicants for the 2007 Making a Difference for Women Award, which honors women who make extraordinary efforts on behalf of women and girls, through their professional or personal activities.
Nominees must be women in the community making a difference by identifying and focusing on a need of women and girls, and contribute to the improvement of others. Most of the work should have occurred within the past two years, although a lifetime of work may be honored. Previous award winners, Soroptimists, immediately family of Soroptimists and employees of Soroptimists are not eligible for the award.
Nomination forms are available the North Bend Public Library, 1800 Sherman Ave., and the Coos Bay Public Library, 525 W. Anderson Ave., or by contacting Sharon Smith at 297-1752.
The deadline for submission of applications is March 1.
