A Gold Beach man was arrested Monday on assault-related charges.

According to the Curry County arrest log, at about 10:30 p.m., responded to a disturbance at Gold Beach Apartments. Officers arrested Jerry E. Johnson, 39, on charges of fourth-degree assault, strangulation, interfering with a report and harassment. He was taken to Curry County jail, where he is being held on a $27,500 bail.

A Brookings man was arrested this morning on drug-related charges. According to the Curry County arrest log, at about 2:40 a.m., a wanted man was located near Brookings-Harbor High School, 625 Pioneer Road. Officers arrested Shon M. Davis, 30, on a charge of possession of methamphetamine and warrant charges of possession and distribution of methamphetamine. He was taken to Curry County jail, where he is being held on a $122,500 bail.

A Coquille man was arrested Sunday. According to the Coos County Sheriff's Office press tape, deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at 54208 Arago Fishtrap Road near Myrtle Point. Deputies arrested Charles Barklow, 34, on charges of reckless endangerment, domestic harassment and domestic menacing. He was taken to Coos County jail, where he was booked at about 3:47 p.m., and released on his own recognizance.
