Wood carvers show to incude sale, contests

More than 50 northwest wood carvers will be displaying artwork at the 16th annual South Coast Wood Carving Show in North Bend, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
The show will be held at the North Bend Community Center, 2222 Broadway Ave., and include Larry Roberts, a local professional wood carver as the featured artist. A member of the South Coast Woodcarvers, Roberts has been carving for 25 years and specializes in crafting wildlife. His artwork is currently displayed in four galleries throughout the state.
Diverse artwork will be displayed at the show, which also will include a “people's choice” competition, a carving raffle and sale.
