Business center to host marketing class

A two-part workshop on the basics of online marketing will be offered by the Southwestern Oregon Community College Business Development Center from 3 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday and the following Wednesday, Feb. 28, in North Bend.
Participants will learn to use Web sites, e-mail and the Internet to successfully market products or services. Presenter Gary Rifkin will show participants how and where to place their Web site on the Internet landscape and how to design a site so it will rank high in search engine results. The course also will include an introduction to Dreamweaver and a self-guided tutorial for building Web sites.
The workshop costs $150 and includes two classes and two hours of private advising. Those interested can contact the BDC at 756-6778 for registration.
