Local artist featured at carving show

One of the many creatures carved by local artist Larry Roberts, of North Bend, who will be the featured artist at the 16th-annual South Coast Wood Carving Show in North Bend, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 24 and 25.
The show will be held at the North Bend Community Center, 2222 Broadway Ave., and more than 50 Northwest wood carvers will display diverse artwork. The show also will include a “people's choice” competition, a carving raffle and sale. Admission is free.
