Brookings seeks planning commissioner

The city of Brookings is seeking applicants to fill Brookings Planning Commission position No. 5, when current Planning Commissioner Ron Hedenskog assumes his newly elected seat on the City Council in January. This is an unpaid, volunteer position with a four-year term of service.
The Brookings Planning Commission meets regularly at 7 p.m. on the first, and frequently, third Tuesdays of each month in the Brookings City Hall council chambers. Citizens living within Brookings city limits, or within the city of Brookings Urban Growth Boundary, are encouraged to apply.
Applications are available from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Brookings City Hall front counter in the Administrative Services Department. A copy of the application also can be downloaded from the city's Web site at www.brookings.or.us.
Completed applications should be returned to Administrative Services no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The City Council will appoint its new Planning Commissioner at the Jan. 8, 2007, meeting.
