South Coast soaks it up

This fall has drenched many South Coast cities and accruing some of the highest monthly rainfall counts of the year. So far this year, North Bend, Coos Bay and Gold Beach are way ahead of the average rainfall rates, with November racking up 14 to 22 inches alone - and December is on its way.

* Rainfall is measured at the Southwest Oregon Regional Airport by the North Bend Weather Watchers, and in Coos Bay at the Coos Forest Protection Association offices.
