Ballot total more than 34 percent in Coos County

As of Friday, a total of 12,627 voters, accounting for just over 34 percent of registered citizens in Coos County, had mailed in or dropped off ballots at one of the county's eight drop site locations.
Statewide, 631,243 ballots have been received from Oregon's 2,019,957 registered voters, accounting for 31 percent of the ballots.
Curry County has the greatest voter participation thus far, with 5,091 ballots from 13,453 voters, or 38 percent. Multnomah and Yamhill counties have the lowest participation at 24 percent.
Ballots were mailed to the county's 36,924 registered voters Oct. 20. Of the 12,627 ballots received thus far, 6,139 have been mailed to the county clerk's office, while 6,488 have been deposited at one of the eight drop sites.
On Election Day, all drop sites will be open until 8 p.m. Ballots must be received by that time. Following are ballot drop-off locations:
Bandon
- Bandon City Hall - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Bandon Public Library (Election Day only) - 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Coos Bay
- Coos Bay Public Library - 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday; noon to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Election Day.
Coquille
- Courthouse - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Election Day.
Lakeside
- City Hall - 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Election Day.
Myrtle Point
- Flora M. Laird Memorial Library - 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, noon to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Election Day.
North Bend
- Public Library - 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Election Day
- North Bend Police Department - 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday; 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Election Day.
Powers
- City Hall - 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Election Day.
