The Southwestern Oregon Community College Art Department is hosting the Bay Area Artists Association's 22nd-annual exhibition through Friday, Oct. 27, in the Eden Hall Fine Art Gallery on Southwestern's campus, 1988 Newmark Ave., in Coos Bay.

BAAA is continuing in its annual tradition of kicking off the academic year with an exhibit that celebrates the diversity of life and artistic styles on the South Coast. The group show includes the work of artists from all over the region. In addition to landscape, seascape and still life painting, this year's exhibit will include cast bronze figurative sculpture and mixed media works.

The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Admission is free.
