A public informational meeting regarding the proposed wave power project will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday in the the Pacific Auditorium of Reedsport Junior/Senior High School, 2260 Longwood Drive.

The meeting will be hosted by the Port of Umpqua and Ocean Power Technology. OPT has begun the permitting process and will offer a project overview, including its scope and multiple benefits, and then answer questions from the public.

Also represented will be Oregon State Department of Energy and various State and Federal agencies.
