Lone Rock Timberland Company decided to close its Coos County lands to the general public and to archers last weekend in light of precationary levels rising this fire season, accoding to the company's coastal representative, Rick Spring.
They will remain closed until there is a significant change in weather, or until the next rainfall, said Spring.
Lone Rock made this decision last week after it closed lands to lumber workers in certain parts of its territory. Spring said it didn't make sense to leave it open to hunters.
