The semi-annual brush pickups in Coos Bay and North Bend now are being handled by local garbage haulers. Brush must be out prior to the first day of pick-up.
Pickups in Coos Bay will begin Tuesday, Sept. 5; and pickups in North Bend will begin Monday, Sept. 18.
- Brush must be in one pile, and be 5 feet or less in length. Several smile piles are not acceptable. The brush must not exceed 5 cubic yards, which is half of a regular-size dump truck. More than 5 yards can be taken, but prior arrangements must be made.
- Brush must be next to the curb, free from overhead obstacles, fire hydrants and other obstacles.
- There is only one pile per address allowed. Return trips will be charged for all yardage.
- No grass clippings, sod, dirt, loose leaves, plastic bags, bailing wire or twin, or other materials which are not appropriate for grinding, will be allowed.
