Rose society to meet Sept. 7 in North Bend

The Southwestern Rose Society will meet beginning with a class at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 7, at the North Bend Housing Authority, 1700 Monroe, in North Bend.
The meeting will feature the “The Rose Growing Made Easy” class, presented by Jay Dow of North Bend. He will be speaking primarily on the classifications of the many species of roses.
The regular meeting will begin at 8 p.m. and society members and guests will be asked to “show and tell” their failures and successes in growing their roses during the past year.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be served.
