Gov. Ted Kulongoski has proclaimed today through Aug. 12 Oregon Farmers Market Week. To celebrate, the public is invited to visit the Coos Bay Farmers Market on Wednesday.

K-DOCK Radio will be broadcasting from the market. Chefs from Red Lion Hotel will be offering tastes of their clam chowder, and would like the public's input as to which they should take to “The Blues, Brews and Chowder Festival in Florence,” the Boston or Manhattan clam chowder.
